Haya and her family eventually found refuge in London, where she studied at the Convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In 1952, Haya married Prince Faisal bin Hussein bin Ali al-Saeedi, a member of the Saudi royal family. The couple had one daughter, Hala Al Saeedi (born 1953). Following Prince Faisal’s death in 1975, Haya returned to Cairo to lead a private life. She passed away in Cairo on January 17th, 2010 at the age of 83.
