Princess Haya bint Nasser was the first Jewish-American princess. She was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1926 to Sheikh Hussein bin Ali al-Talawi and his wife, Princess Musa bint Muhammad. When she was just three years old, her father was assassinated and her mother and siblings were forced into exile. Haya and her family eventually found refuge in London, where she studied at the Convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In 1952, Haya married Prince Faisal bin Hussein bin Ali al-Saeedi, a member of the Saudi royal family. The couple had one daughter, Hala Al Saeedi (born 1953). Following Prince Faisal’s death in 1975, Haya returned to Cairo to lead a private life. She passed away in Cairo on January 17th, 2010 at the age of 83.

Princess Saleha bint Abdulaziz

Princess Saleha bint Abdulaziz is the daughter of Saudi King Abdullah and his wife Sheikha Muna bint Abdulaziz. She is also the sister of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef. Princess Saleha was born on January 4, 1970 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 1994, she married Khalid al-Tuwaijri, a nephew of then-Saudi Crown Prince Naif. The couple have two daughters: Qaseema and Haifa.

Princess Yasmina bint al-Qasimi

Princess Yasmina bint al-Qasimi is a Saudi Arabian princess, the first Jewish-American princess. She was born in 1975 in San Diego, California to parents Arnie and Sharon Kasimi. Her maternal grandparents are Harry and Ruthie Polin, a Polish-Jewish couple who fled Nazi Germany in 1938. Princess Yasmina has two sisters: Dr. Randa Kasimi and Tala Kasimi. Her paternal grandfather was an Iraqi diplomat who served as ambassador to Poland and Sweden.

Princess Fatima bint Muhammad al-Faisal

Princess Fatima bint Muhammad al-Faisal is the first Jewish-American princess. She was born on May 17, 1923, in Cairo, Egypt. Her father was Prince Muhammad al-Faisal, the son of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and his wife Princess Zohra bint Ali Hussein. Princess Fatima has two sisters: Princess Basma bint Muhammad al-Faisal and Princess Sahar bint Mohammed al-Faisal.

In 1929, when Princess Fatima was only eleven years old, her parents were forced to abdicate the thrones of Saudi Arabia and Egypt due to a political crisis. They moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where they lived until 1934. At that time, the princesses attended a boarding school in England.

In 1941, the family returned to Egypt and lived in Cairo until 1948, when they moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During this time, Princess Fatima completed her education at several colleges in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

In 1953, after their brother King Saud had been crowned ruler of Saudi Arabia and Egypt had been reunited as an Egyptian kingdom under Gamal Abdel Nasser’s leadership (1951–1970), the family returned once again to Cairo.
