Boots
Even though it’s not required, Stardew Valley players will need boots to get the most out of digging. They make it harder for monsters to hurt you and make you immune to damage. Some of them are very important.
You can buy boots at the Adventurer’s Guild, but you can also find them for free in reward boxes in the mines. Boots can also be dropped by enemies at random, and sometimes you can find them in treasure boxes you catch while fishing. Space Boots and Mermaid Boots are the best boots for players to get their hands on. The Mermaid Boots can be found in chests in the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island. The Space Boots are a prize for getting to the 110th floor of the mines.
Ore & Coal
During a Stardew Valley playthrough, you don’t have to go into the mines. However, the dangerous floors hold a lot of valuable resources, like ore and coal. Clint sells both at the Blacksmiths, but after the second year, the price of both will go up, with Gold Ore reaching an eye-popping 750g each.
As players go deeper into the mines, they will find a lot of ore. Sure, farming coal can be a little difficult, since they have to depend on luck and the Prospector Profession. But coal can be found all over the floors on mine carts and brown bags. It can also be dropped by monsters like Golems, Shadow Brutes, Dust Sprites, Red, Purple, and Black Slimes.
Wood & Stone
At the Carpenter’s Shop, you can buy wood and stone, but making friends with Robin doesn’t give you a deal. Each piece of stone costs 20g to 100g and each piece of wood costs 10g to 50g. As wood and stone are popular building and crafting materials, there are a lot of them on The Farm, as well as in other parts of Stardew Valley and on Ginger Island.
Make sure to leave some tree stumps on The Farm so that you don’t run out of trees. These stumps will spread seeds that will grow into trees over time. Rocks are always in the Mine, but they come back every day on the Farm and in the Quarry.
Hardwood Fence
At level 6 of the Farming skill, players can make a fence out of hard wood. To make it, you need one piece of lumber, which you can get by cutting down Mahogany trees or chopping up big logs and stumps. Before they break down and need to be changed, these fences last between 558 and 562 days.
The Hardwood Fence is easy to make, but you can also buy it from the Casino for 100 Qi coins, which is 1,000g. But now that Mahogany trees were added in the 1.5 update, it’s easy to get hardwood, so there’s no reason to spend money on this fence when there are so many other cool things to save up for.
Solar Essence
As players go deeper into the Mines, they’ll start to meet stronger enemies like Ghosts, Squid Kids, Mummies, and Metal Heads. Each enemy has a chance of dropping an item called Solar Essence, which can be used to make things like Mega Bombs and Hyper Speed-Gro. In order to do what Mr. Qui wants, 8 Ball Pool players will also need a piece of Solar Essence.
You can buy this piece of Monster Loot from Krobus for 80g each. But since this thing is often dropped by enemies, it can be gathered quickly and easily.
Void Essence
Void Essence is another piece of Monster Loot that can be found in the Mine and Skull Cavern. It is dropped by even stronger enemies. Shadow Brutes, Haunted Skulls, Serpents, and Shadow Shamans are some of these. Even though Void Essence is only used in two recipes (Mega Bombs and the Iridium Band). The things players can make with it are useful for exploring. The sewing machine can also be used to make an Arcane Shirt out of Void Essence.
Again, Krobus sells each of these Monster Loot items in his shop for 100g. And, just like with Solar Essence, players can quickly get a lot of Void Essence without even realizing it. Because they kill so many monsters in the Mine or Skull Cavern.
Stardew Valley is now available on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Android.
